12-year-old girl forced into vehicle, abducted in Gurgaon
“The child and her sister were on their way home after giving their father food when she was kidnapped,” Ravinder Kumar, PRO, Gurgaon Police, said.
Even as Gurgaon Police Friday arrested a second person for allegedly abducting and raping a college student in Farrukhnagar, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly forced into a vehicle in the district’s Badshahpur area. Police are yet to track the girl. Police said the incident took place at 8 am near Begumpur Khatola village, where the child lived with her parents and four-year-old sister. The family hails from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.
“The child and her sister were on their way home after giving their father food when she was kidnapped,” Ravinder Kumar, PRO, Gurgaon Police, said. Her younger sister ran home and alerted their mother.
“A case has been registered at Badshahpur police station. We are conducting further investigations,” Kumar said. Meanwhile, on Friday morning, police arrested the second accused, Lalit, alias Kalu (21), in the Farrukhnagar case.
The incident took place on Monday morning, when the second-year student was on her way to college. She was abducted by two men who took turns raping her, before releasing her almost two hours later, police said. The woman alleged that the accused stripped her before letting her go, and only returned her garments after she pleaded with them.
A case had been registered on Thursday and one person, Pawan (24), had been arrested the same evening. Police said the two accused were known to the woman. “Both accused were produced in court on Friday and have been remanded to a day in police custody. They will be questioned and the matter will be investigated further,” PRO Kumar said. The Swift car used in the abduction has been seized, he said.

A man from Khadkoli village in the neighbouring Palghar district was today arrested for allegedly repeatedly raping his 14-year-old daughter, police said today.
In a complaint lodged with the Palghar police, the victim, a student of Class VII, said that her 42-year-old father has been raping her since 2014.
She told the police that the latest such incident took place on December 7 in the forest area in Khadkoli. According to police, her parents had got separated and the victim had been living with her father.
“As per her complaint, her father used to threaten her with a sickle or an axe before committing the crime,” a police officer said. Based on her complaint, Palghar police registered a case against the accused and arrested him in the wee hours today.
The accused has been booked under different IPC sections, including 376 (rape), and also the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.

Indiatimes reports that on January 9, the girl had gone out to relieve herself, owing to the fact that there was no washroom in her house. Subsequently, she went missing and her father had filed a missing person’s report on the same day itself.
The minor girl’s body was recovered from the nearby forest, the next day. According to the website, the police has already arrested four men named in FIR including Premlal Hansda and his three siblings – Samuel Hansda, Katthi Hansda and Sishu Hansda.
“In revenge, they kidnapped the girl and gang-raped her. In order to conceal their crime, they hid her body in the Blewan forest after killing her,” Shailendra Burnwal, Pakur superintendent of police (SP), told HT.

This was one of the messages sent by a young man named Rojan to actor Parvathy, over her comments about the Mammootty film Kasaba. The online outburst over the actor calling out the misogyny in the film has clearly taken an ugly turn, and the Kerala police have now caught a second person in the case.
Rojan, who hails from Kollam, was tracked down by the Kollam police to his home, and has now been picked up for questioning. A police officer who spoke to TNM confirmed that Rojan’s arrest will be recorded as soon as the Kochi police – who are investigating the case – arrive to take him into custody.
The young man, who is pursuing a degree from a tutorial college, had sent three direct messages to Parvathy on Instagram. Parvathy had handed over the screenshots of these messages to the Kerala police, as this was one of the first direct rape threats that she had received.
In the first message he abused her, in the second and third he had issues rape threats.
Police officials confirmed that using Rojan’s profile details; they reached the Nehru Memorial Higher Secondary School in Kollam, and traced his home address.
“He told us that when he sent the message to Parvathy, he did not think much about it. He was angry, and therefore decided to send a rape threat. He was sure that he wouldn’t get caught, and therefore sent the message to the actor,” an official who is part of the team questioning Rojan told TNM.
The police have so far seized a computer and a laptop from Rojan’s house. “He is from a regular family, his brother works abroad. This is the problem with people like him, they sent things on impulse, they think they can’t be traced.”
On Wednesday, the Ernakulam Town South police arrested Printo C for his alleged involvement in the abuse. Hailing from Vadakanchery, Printo had reportedly threatened the actor that she would never be able to work in the film industry again and that Mammootty fans will ensure the same. He had also abused her family. Printo has been booked under Sections 67 and 67 A of the IT Act (publishing or transmitting sexually explicit material electronically) and Sections 507 (anonymous criminal intimidation and 509 of the IPC (outraging the modesty of a woman).
On Thursday, Printo was released on bail, and this was celebrated by several people on Facebook, who continued to outrage against Parvathy.

A lawyer for President Trump orchestrated a $130,000 payment to a pornographic-film actress in October 2016 to prevent her from going public with claims of a consensual sexual encounter with Mr. Trump on Friday.
The reported payment came shortly before the presidential election and as the actress, Stephanie Clifford, 38, was discussing sharing her account with News agencies and the online magazine, according to interviews, notes and text messages reviewed by them
Jacob Weisberg, editor-in-chief, said on Friday that in a series of interviews with Ms. Clifford in August and October 2016, she told him she had an affair with Mr. Trump after meeting him at a 2006 celebrity golf tournament. She told him that Michael D. Cohen, a lawyer for Mr. Trump, had agreed during the presidential campaign to pay her the $130,000 if she kept the relationship secret, Mr. Weisberg said, adding that Ms. Clifford had told him she was tempted to go public because the lawyer was late in making the payment and she feared he might back out of their agreement.
In a text message exchange that Mr. Weisberg provided to The Times, he pressed her on details of the agreement.
She forwarded Mr. Weisberg a draft amendment to the original agreement in which the parties were referred to by pseudonyms. Mr. Weisberg shared it with the public.
According to the draft, Ms. Clifford was referred to as “Peggy Peterson” and was represented by a lawyer named Keith Davidson. On the other end of the negotiations were other parties referred to as “David Dennison” and “David Delucia.” Ms. Clifford promised to send Mr. Weisberg the original paperwork. But shortly after the text message exchange, Ms. Clifford stopped responding. Mr. Weisberg said that his conversations with the actress were on the record but that he was not prepared to write the story without her consent.
In an email sent on Friday to the news agency, Mr. Cohen did not address the $130,000 payment, but said, “These rumors have circulated time and again since 2011. President Trump once again vehemently denies any such occurrence as has Ms. Daniels.”
Ms. Clifford could not be reached for comment. But Mr. Cohen released a statement dated Jan. 10 and signed by Ms. Clifford in which she said that her involvement with Mr. Trump was limited to a few public appearances and that allegations that “I had a sexual and/or romantic affair with Mr. Trump many, many, many years ago” were “completely false.
“Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false,” the statement said.
The White House issued a statement, saying, “These are old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election.”
Ms. Clifford was one of at least two women whose claims of out-of-wedlock relations with Mr. Trump were kept from public view by way of restrictive legal agreements. Around the same time that Ms. Clifford was talking to Slate, a former Playboy model, Karen McDougal, sold exclusive rights to her story about an affair she claimed to have had with Mr. Trump to American Media Inc., the company that owns The National Enquirer, The Journal reported shortly before the presidential election.
American Media, whose chief executive, David J. Pecker, is close with Mr. Trump, never published her story. It told The Journal at the time that it had paid to run fitness columns by Ms. McDougal and for “life rights” to any relationship she may have had to a married man. It denied it had paid to lock down a story that would have been damaging to Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump’s spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, had denied that Mr. Trump had an affair or that he or his campaign had any knowledge of the talks with American Media.
Ms. McDougal was represented by the same lawyer who represented Ms. Clifford, Keith Davidson.
A Beverly Hills lawyer whose specialty is navigating “the discreet affairs of our select clientele,” Mr. Davidson has represented a number of adult-film stars and models, according to a client list that was once posted on his website but no longer appears there. Mr. Davidson did not respond to requests for comment.
